Dan's Photo Journal

I will take one picture a day for the next year and post it here with a title.

I only get one photo each day to represent that day. There are no do-overs.

The Sound and the Fury

12:10 AM
DeWitt, Clinton, Michigan
Crystal and I had stayed up late to make sure we would be sucked to Kansas by a tornado, and I took this picture of the torrential rain. I wasn't moving the camera but the image distortion is due to the reflection of light off of the raindrops.

It's pronounced Yer-all, not Er-all

9:55 PM
DeWitt, Clinton, Michigan
I lost the 7th Grade Geography Bee to John Decker because the judge said I pronounced the name incorrectly. Well you know what...IT IS PRONOUNCED YER-ALL!!!

A Study In Irony

3:40 PM
Mackinac Island, Mackinac, Michigan
Of all the stupid things to take a picture of at one of the most picturesque places on earth, I took this. Isn't it ironic? Don'tcha think? A little too ironic....

A Bird? A Plane? It's A Squished Spider

10:30 PM

This is the fifth spider who's life I've shortened in my basement. It was Mr. Earl in the basement with the newspaper, if you are a Clue fan.

Sometimes I loose focus on the Savior. That is what this is all about.

Basement Ceiling

I wish I would have zoomed in on the texture more which is what I was going for. Oh well. Live and learn I guess.

Baller

This is the inside of a cantaloupe after it had been balled to make an appetizer for dinner. The flash gives kind of a reverse contour.

October Rust

7:15 PM
DeWitt, Clinton, Michigan
Some leaves fell on one of the stone in the path to our front door. I like the contrast in colors between the rock and the leaves.

See, Le Fleur

12:45 PM
DeWitt, Clinton, Michigan
I came home to have lunch with Crystal and the boys today. I saw the sun shining on our flowering butterfly bush. I liked the contrast of colors and textures.

Kingpin

7:15 PM
DeWitt, Clinton, Michigan
It was one of those days where you just feel worn out and I saw this pile of clothespins I left on one of the planters on the deck. I some how represented how I felt at the time.

Rainy Days and Mondays

6:45 AM
DeWitt, Clinton, Michigan
Today it rained all day. I liked how the rain was beading up on the wood of our deck. I got a real close up to show the water seeping into the grains a bit because I didn't weatherproof the deck yet. Oh well.
